What is Success Criteria you may ask? Success Criteria indicates how students can demonstrate a specific learning goal.
Students need to take charge of their own learning and make sure they are on the right track when completing a task or using some learned information. Success criteria is what they look to in order to make sure they are indeed doing things correctly. This episode of the FinCast takes a look at success criteria from the eyes of the student. Mr. Johnson asked some 4th graders "how do you know you are doing something correctly?" Their answers are thought provoking as we all try to become better learners (both teachers and students!) and make sure our learning is headed in the right direction. Stay tuned to the FinCast as we delve deeper into this subject, giving specific examples of what success criteria looks like and why it is important!
